    Negro MexDubKnown internationally as Mexican Dubwiser, DJ and music producer, Marcelo Tijerina hails from Monterrey, Mexico. Since 2000 he has been based in Los Angeles where he has gained a reputation as one of the Latin scene’s most promising DJs, producers and performers with a unique sound based on electronic rhythms fused with cumbia, reggae, funk and dub. In 2009 and 2010 Marcelo released two albums of his work which brought together a selection of remixes, covers, mashups and some of his favourite songs, available as free downloads entitled Sonidos de Hoy y Siempre Vol.1 and Vol.2. His growing reputation led to him supporting and touring with Manu Chao, KINKY, Bajofondo, DJ Krush, Nortec Collective: Bostich + Fussible, Amigos Invisibles, Money Mark, Aterciopelados, Julieta Venegas, El Hijo de la Cumbia, Molotov, Natalia Lafourcade, Plastilina Mosh, Ximena Sariñana, Amandititita, El Gran Silencio among others. 

    In 2012 Mexican Dubwiser’s debut album Revolution Radio was released in Mexico on KINKY’s record label Kin Kon Rec. and in association with the label Terrícolas Imbéciles. The album includes collaborations with renowned musicians such as: Ulises Lozano, Carlos Chairez and Gil Cerezo (KINKY), Billy Gould (Faith No More), Ruben Albarran (Café Tacuva), Blanquito Man and Candice Cannabis (King Chango), Angel Ibarra (El Ritmo Llamador), Celso Piña, Treasure Don, Pato Machete, Yarah Bravo, DJ Vadim and Rocky Dawuni. The first single release to promote the album (in May 2011) was Trouble in my Soul, a collaboration with Artwork Jamal, Billy Gould and Ulises Lozano. It was named 3rd best single of the year by Radio Ibero and was the 4th most played track of 2011 on the station Reactor 105.7. In May 2013 the album will be released in the US on Billy Gould/Faith No More’s label, Koolarrow Records.
